Channel Management & Analytics Reporting

Growing Youtube audiences for client and owned & operated channels through day-to-day channel management, social listening, market research & monthly analytics & trends reporting.

Project Type: Day-To-Day Work Responsibilities

Timeline: September 2022-July 2024

Role: Youtube Channel Manager & Content Programming Strategist

Project Description: During my tenure at Electric Monster I held two positions. I was initially hired as a Channel Manager for the agency side of the company, where I worked for 9 months before being promoted to Content Programming Strategist for the Kids & Family divison of the O&O side.

As a Channel Manager I was responsible for the day-to-day management & of a variety of channels (Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Video & Motion, Now Playing, etc.) Including packaging, scheduling, tagging, optimizing, A/B testing and monitoring the performance of Youtube videos for our clients.

As a Content Programming Strategist I was responsible for all things Kids & Family. I managed the programming calendar, took care of channel managemnt and led a team of 3 creatives for whom I conducted research, analyzed trends and produced monthly reports that informed their work.

Lessons Learned: I grew immensely in my time at Electric Monster, but the most valuable thing I learned is how to be a good leader that advocates for her team & for what’s best for the channels, even if it isn’t the most convenient or popular option in the short term.
