Vorte Virtual Concerts Platform Proposal
Bringing together the feel of gaming, the ease of connection and sharing of social media, and live music.
Project Type: Graduate School Project for Web Strategies for Organizations Class.
Timeline: April-May, 2021.
Role: Researcher, Creator, Designer, Strategist.
Project Description: For this project, we were tasked with developing a platform idea and its accompanying pitch deck detailing our process to share with potential investors. Based on that criteria, we developed Vorte, an interactive virtual platform is meant to facilitate and deepen communication and connection between artists and their fans through a variety of different experiences.
Challenge: Vorte is a platform for artists, music superfans and regular gamers that helps artists make a living wage from their art by cutting into revenue “taken” by the gaming industry, provides a remote alternative to live concerts, and an opportunity for artists to reach greater audiences by eliminating geographic constraints, travel bans, security concerns or venue capacities.
Solution: The platform allows artists to interact with other users who are live on the platform in real-time, customize avatars and spaces to engage in concerts, meet & greet sessions, and behind-the-scene events, and sell virtual merchandise to fans.
Results: We measured success based on our ability and commitment to paying artists fairly. As a result, artists take home 85% of their direct contribution earnings.
